MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet the cost, quality & delivery commitments to production.

Lead the Team of buyers responsible for direct material (bought out) procurements.

Ensure ZERO line stoppage / production loss.

Ensure 100% OTIF

Achieve Inventory Turn Ratio as per the KPI

Ensure delivery of ZERO defective parts to production line.

Understand the production plan

Review shortage report & ensuring material availability as per production plan.

Prepare the supplier schedule based on the closing stock of previous month.

Acquiring knowledge about the raw material specifications & manufacturing process of "Machined, Sintered, Press, Tubular, Plastic, Packaging Parts".

Effective coordination for quality issues with suppliers

Identify cost improvement opportunities

Reduce inventory, procure small lots & increase the number of inventory turns

Timely release of PO's / SA's to suppliers.

Coordination with stores for sorting out GES / GRN related issues

Coordination with Finance for supplier ayments.

Ensuring that the rejection is sent back with proper documentation.

Coordinating / participating in the review meetings regarding shortages (internal & alongwith Production).

Coordinating / participating in the review meetings regarding quality issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Graduate engineer with 10 - 15 years of experience in Tactical Purchase.
